Here is my first attempt at painting my own nesting doll...
It was definitely a lot of fun and at the same time a lot of experimenting and learning.
Here is the process...
raw matryoshkas.... straight from Russia!
...india ink outline on the girls...
...random designs all over the dolls...
....one layer of paint...
....inside the dolls painted...
Matryoshkas after 2 layers of paint, some glitter and a 3 layers of protective gloss...
Now it's time to order more raw dolls and make more sets. I got a lot of color schemes in mind. =)
